Baseball has served as America’s pastime since the 1800’s. It has exemplified everything our nation has stood for and has been an integral part of our social fabric. A great philosopher once said, “Anyone truly wishing to understand the heart and mind of America should study the sport of baseball”. Like a history book, it accounts every major era in American history; from segregation, to The Great Depression, to the hardships of World War Two and on so forth. In the 1920’s, the rise of the New York Yankees seemed to go hand in hand with New York’s presence as the world’s capital city.........
Hello sports fans, welcome back for another segment of our weekly top 5. Throughout time there have been many tragedies and many triumphs. There have been many happy times and many sad times. Life is unpredictable. With all of that unpredictability where does one turn to for real entertainment, unimaginable drama, and unforgettable endings? All of which is created not by Hollywood writers, but by professional athletes dueling each other day in and day out. Sports are one of the only pure entities that still remain in this crazy world. Nothing bugs me more when certain people try and ruin the games that we love for the rest of us.........
